With our third issue nearly on comic stands, we wanted folks to be aware that REED GUNTHER is not a kids book, but truly a book for ALL-AGES. So we made a press release comic!
We don’t write down for a younger audience. We’re creating stories that we would enjoy, and we’re both in our 20’s. That means creating adventure with real danger and consequences. Honestly, I would say we have more fans in their 20’s and 30’s rather than young kids. However, lots of folks tell us they read and love REED GUNTHER and then are thrilled that they can share the book with their son or daughter!
Lots of our favorite books are horror adventure books like Hellboy, The Walking Dead, and The Goon. If these are some of our major influences, do you think we’re out there making a “kiddie book”? Heck NO, dude!
REED GUNTHER is a book all about fun. We’re having a fun time making it and we hope you guys are having a fun time reading it. Please feel free to share the image above and let other folks know that Reed is a fun and exciting book that folks of any age can get into.
So here’s to fun and exciting books that folks from 9 to 90 can enjoy!

WOWEE! What a con!
Well, we’re back and all rested up from the 2011 San Diego Comic Con! A HUGE thank you goes out to everyone who stopped by the Image Comics booth to say hello to us!

Here’s the four of us, including Chris’ wife Kassandra, in the Elephantmen Pedicab! Our good friend and creator of Elephantmen, Richard Starkings, has been an incredible inspiration and acts as a wise sage to us as we moved from self-publishing and into the Image family. Naturally, we had to ride in one of his sponsored pedicabs!
We totally should have taken more pictures, but we didn’t. Heck, we didn’t really take the pictures seen above! We gotta get better at that…
The convention was a blast and we met tons of fans and creators! Here’s a couple recommendations for some great comics. If you haven’t already checked the out, I urge you to give ‘em a try!

Hey Folks!
If you’re going to be at the San Diego Comic Con, be sure to swing by the Image Comics booth and check out some of our cool new Reed Gunther stuff!
We’ll be premiering a brand new mini-comic entitled Buckin’ Bear! This is was a really fun one to make and it’s pretty goofy! We’ll also have tons of copies of classic Reed Gunther mini-comics like Stupid Cows and My Reputation Be Queasy! But the best part about these mini-comics is that they’re totally FREE! FREE COMICS Y’ALL!
Chris whipped up some custom Reed Gunther sketch cards that he’ll be selling on the cheap (original art you guys!).
There will also be this limited edition print!
The 11″ x 14″ prints are limited to 100 copies (hand numbered) and will be sold for $10 each (cheap!)
The original artwork for this print will be auctioned off at the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund’s annual auction at San Diego Comic-Con July 23!

We’re going to the San Diego Comic Con!
Chris and I will be set up at the Image Comics booth in the center of the convention floor (booth #2729) for the entire con!
We’ll have copies of the colored Image copies of REED GUNTHER #1 and #2, a few black and white self-published editions of Reed Gunther for the hardcore fans, limited edition prints, original art sketch cards, and lots of FREE mini-comics including a BRAND NEW ADVENTURE that we’re premiering at this con! Be sure to wade through the madness and swing by the Image Comics booth to say hey!
UPDATE: We’ll also be signing at the GeekScape.net booth on Sunday from 1-2PM!
