Review!

Picture 2

We have some sad news over here at ReedGunther.com.  The new issue, Reed Gunther in a Stalac-TIGHT Spot! (available here August 31st) was recently leaked online and some goof-ball named Andy Frisk thought it would be a gas to write all about it over at comicbookbin.com.

The nerve!

He says stuff like:

…one the most off-beat westerns you’ll ever see…”

…more of the same, and in this case, that’s a good thing.”

…Bruce Timm inspired characters with a Scooby-Doo type eerie setting”

The hallmark of any comic book worth its salt is two fold. There’s got to be great art, and you have to leave your readers wanting more. This issue accomplishes both. When you add in humor and purposefully silly, yet interesting characters, you have the makings of something special.”

KRALPK!”

Well, if it had to get out, at least it fell into the hands of a reviewer.

Be sure to read the whole, in depth article here!

Thanks to Andy and the folks over at comicbookbin.com!

Um… Is That a Man or a Wall?

New character from the upcoming Reed Gunther in a Stalac-TIGHT Spot! (available Aug. 31st)

Mr. Latchgrab doesn’t say much.  But when he does decide to communicate, he uses his fists to punch Morse Code into your face.

CBR Review!

The good folks over at ComicBookResourses.com have posted a review for Reed Gunther and the Steak Snacking Snake!

If you truly want to read a comic that is good, clean fun, completely unhinged from continuity, crossovers, or company agendas, then do yourself a favor and pick this book up … Trust me, you’ve spent $3 in worse ways before. This will help make up for it.”

Many thanks to Mr. Doug Zawisza for checking out our book!

Random Reed Quote

“Sterling, have you seen my pants?”

- Reed Gunther, just moments before being swallowed whole by a giant lizard.  Don’t worry, Sterling got him out.

Reed Gunther ZINE!

Hey Folks!

I recently received an email from a distressed reader:

“Hey Shane and Chris,

I love your awesome comic book, Reed Gunther!  Like, love love.  But I’ve got a real bone to pick with you eraser suckers…  THERE’S NOT ENOUGH!  How am I supposed to get my Reed and Sterling fix if I gotta wait 3 months for you cross-eyed punching bags to turn out an issue?

Keep up the great work,

-  Garvis Burtelerick”

Wow, Garvis.  Interesting choice of words but I see your point.  With all the important work I’m doing in Los Angeles, and all of Chris’ intense studying in Detroit, it does take some time for just two guys to put out a whole issue, which is why we’ve decided to come out with ZINES!ZINES!

What’s a zine?  (more…)
